    Yesterday I tried to cash a check from the US Treasury Dept. for a whopping $ 59.00 and was told I did not have a check cashing policy. My banking is done at PNC in Graham so I did not want to drive that far since I live in Mebane. Is this the way banking should be done when a check is so obviously backed by the US Treasury?

    Contacted on Tues regarding a property and never heard back from anyone after my initial call. The agent, Lori, was supposed to find out a couple of things on a property and call me back. Never did. I called left a message with John, never got a call back, sent message from Zillow listing, never heard back. Left VM message for Lori, yep you guessed it, never heard back. This company has no respect for potential clients. It's now Friday and the property is under contract. Their lack of responsiveness likely cost us this opportunity as we were prepared to make a full ask offer, just needed two questions answered. I have very close ties with people in the real estate and property management field and this group ranks in the top two of the worst I've ever experienced. Unprofessional, unresponsive, shameful work ethic.

    I moved into one of the properties on Ivey Rd in February. I had went in to view the apartment a few weeks prior. Alex showed me the apartments and explained the different plans they had available which included different color hardwood and also different styled backsplash in the kitchen. Also there were upgraded units with different styled doors and also ceiling fixtures. I was moving all the way from New York to North Carolina and everything seemed to go pretty well up until the day I moved. I was able to get everything set up over the phone and via email which was very convenient. The day I moved in I walked into an apartment that did not have hardwood nor did I have the style backsplash that I was I was going to receive. It was tiled which I didn’t even know tile was on option. I had asked several times if they could send me photos of the exact apartment I would be moving into because I had had an awful experience with my previous apartment and did not want the same thing happening this time around, which it did. When I called to complain they just apologized and said there was nothing they could do because another unit would not be available for another two weeks. I had already hired and paid for a moving company which I was not going to do again. They did offer me my next month’s rent free for the inconvenience which I think helped but I continued to keep having problems. The maintenance department took over a month to address the issues I had from the day I moved in which included: A leaking sink, mold on the ceiling and my closet fixtures broken. The guys were super nice but also very disorganized. About 2 months of living here I noticed that every time it rained a puddle of water would form in the corner of my living room. I had submitted a request to have this taken care of and all they did was put sandbags around that corner of my apartment and said that they would reseal it once the weather dried up. They came and removed the sandbag and I thought they fixed it but I continued to have the same problem every time it rained really hard. By the 4th or 5th month one night at 8 pm I walk down stairs to 3-5 inches of standing water in the front of my house. Thank god I caught it soon enough to save the area rug I had but my furniture has already been sitting in this water. Carl the maintenance guy ended up coming over fairly quick to vacuum the water up but it just was not stopping. I was up until 1 in the morning helping him clean the place up. They ended up sandbagging the whole front of my apartment and putting all of my furniture up on Styrofoam. At this point I was furious. My apartment smelled like mildew and I had to worry about my apartment flooding every time it rained. I emailed the owner and demanded to let out of my lease with no penalty to me. Which they did agree too. I was out a month later. I was told that I would be mailed a check for the remaining of my rent and also my security deposit back. It’s been over a month and I have e-mailed Alex over a week ago asking when to expect the check. I still have not had a response. I would never ever recommend JDK Properties to anyone. Not only is their customer service non-existent but they are very negligent. I feel that I have been more than patient with this company but I am not surprised that I still have yet to hear a response.

    horrible service at this branch, Tammy (branch maanager), never returns phone calls. many many times I have left messages for her with no response. poor customer service is always a huge problem at this branch. I will soon be closing my Suntrust accounts and moving my $$ else where
